Two products, not one portal. Dispatch emails a job link to a trade who does not need a Field Ascend account. Linked Company Work Orders is a second product for firms that already run Field Ascend. Pick the model that matches who you are sending the work to.
Dispatch: email a job link, no Field Ascend login, then Accept into Job. Linked Company Work Orders: the other firm already has Field Ascend and receives a formal work order in their account. Do not treat them as one workflow.
The value shows up in the handoffs. The office gets better context before assigning work. Technicians get clearer instructions at the site. Managers get a record they can trust. Finance gets cleaner inputs for billing. Customers get fewer delays because the office is not rebuilding the story after the fact.
The office relies on calls, spreadsheets, inboxes, and memory. Small details are lost, and the admin team has to interpret what happened after every visit.
The technician works from a structured mobile record, captures the evidence needed, and keeps the job tied to the customer and site.
The same record can support follow-up work, reporting, invoicing, compliance review, or management dashboards without manual reconstruction.
Field Ascend is $13/user/month. All features are included, and every account starts with a 30-day trial.
Subcontractor Management Software for Commercial Field Service works best as part of a connected commercial FSM workflow. These related pages show how the feature ties into dispatch, mobile work, billing, reporting, and customer-site history.
The goal is not just to list subcontractors. Field Ascend keeps third-party work tied to the same customers and sites as internal technician work. How the work is sent depends on which product you use. Not sure this is the category you need? Start with our guide to the 3 types of contractor management software.
Use Dispatch when the trade does not have Field Ascend. Use Linked Company Work Orders when they already run it. The directory can hold the same real-world company as a Dispatch contact and, separately, as a supplier for purchase orders.
Add the contact in the Subcontractor Directory. Filter by trade, open the map, and set an optional spend cap. Email a secure one-job link from the job. They do not need a Field Ascend account, app, or password. They add notes, photos, and a signature on that link. You review it and Accept into Job.
After accept: notes go to Work Done, photos go to job documents, and the signature goes to Signatures when that copy is enabled. Dispatch is priced per active seat, with a 30-day trial.
This is the second product. Invite another Field Ascend organization. Issue a work order into their account. They process it as their own job, with their own technicians and planner. Both sides keep their own data and a shared status trail.
That path is not an email link, and Dispatch contacts do not get a Field Ascend login from it. See work order management software for the work-order record itself.
Public review volume is still early, so the review sources are shown in crawlable plain HTML and should be refreshed when profiles change.
